{"id":11429,"date":"2024-11-20T18:00:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T17:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bio-pat.org\/?p=11429"},"modified":"2024-12-13T13:36:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T12:36:09","slug":"scholarships-for-early-stage-scientists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bio-pat.org\/en\/scholarships-for-early-stage-scientists","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships for early-stage scientists by BioProScale e.V."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Scholarships for early-stage scientists by BioProScale e.V.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Deadline 15.12.2024!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/bio-pat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Funds-BioProScale-eV_Info-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Information file for download<\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/bio-pat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Funds-BioProScale-eV_Application-form.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Application form<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">BioProScale e.V. is a non-profit association dedicated to promote science, academia and research by linking competencies between industry and scientific institutions in the field of biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In accordance with its aim, BioProScale e.V. offers recurrent scholarships to early-stage scientists (Master students, PhD students, Postdocs (maximum 7 years after receiving their PhD)) to support research stays in foreign laboratories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The project must be from the field of microbial biotechnology, primarily in the areas of Pharma, Chemicals, Food or Feed and fit into one of the following topics:<ul><li>Scale-up or scale-down of bioprocesses<\/li><li>Bioprocess development<\/li><li>Bioprocess monitoring and \/ or optimization<\/li><li>Bioreactor construction<\/li><li>Development of a more sustainable bio-based economy<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Work plan including methodology and risk mitigation<\/li><li>Letter of recommendation from the receiving institution with clear statement to access to relevant infra structure<\/li><li>Reasonable cost calculation (travel expenses, accommodation, &#8230;)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Details on scholarships:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All applications are evaluated by the BioProScale e.V. board. Scholarships are awarded according to this evaluation.<\/li><li>There is generally no legal entitlement to funding. The provisions on non-profit funding of general scientific work in the Federal Republic of Germany continue to apply.<\/li><li>The maximum amount of funding is 5000,-\u20ac. BioProScale e.V. reserves the right to reduce the requested funds.<\/li><li>Consumables or devices are not part of the scholarships and have to be financed by the receiving institution.<\/li><li>Host and present institution must be different. The scholarship cannot be used to extend a current position.<\/li><li>The application deadline for the next scholarship award is <strong>15.12.2024<\/strong>.
