{"id":12700,"date":"2026-04-26T20:49:54","date_gmt":"2026-04-26T19:49:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bio-pat.org\/?p=12700"},"modified":"2026-04-26T21:24:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-26T20:24:27","slug":"bio-pat-at-bioproscale-2026-collaboration-innovation-and-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bio-pat.org\/en\/bio-pat-at-bioproscale-2026-collaboration-innovation-and-community","title":{"rendered":"Bio-PAT at BioProScale 2026: Collaboration, Innovation, and Community"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bio-PAT was pleased to co-organize and take part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/biotechnologie.ifgb.de\/bioproscale2026\">9th BioProScale Symposium<\/a> in April 2026, once again bringing together key actors from academia and industry in the field of bioprocess engineering and process analytical technology (PAT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following weeks of preparation at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu.berlin\/bioprocess\">Department of\u00a0Bioprocess Engineering at TU Berlin<\/a>\u00a0and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vlb-berlin.org\/\">\u00a0VLB Berlin<\/a>, as well as across our network, the event officially kicked off with strong participation and a highly engaged audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A Shared Platform for PAT Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the heart of Bio-PAT\u2019s presence was the shared booth, which this year expanded to accommodate growing interest and participation. The booth served as a central meeting point for exchange, collaboration, and showcasing innovations in process analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following members were represented at the shared booth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/abacus-lab.de\/\">Abacus Analytical Systems GmbH<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animox.de\/\">ANiMOX GmbH<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/afs.art\/\">Art Fiber Systems<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/indatech.eu\/en\/\">INDATECH \u2013 Chauvin Arnoux Group<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.enpresso.de\/\">Enpresso GmbH<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fyonibio.com\/?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=15627626071&amp;gbraid=0AAAAAoV2XzbA3tgfJ3-pVPY8pIBNf6OfJ&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_9Tt4aKMlAMVOjwGAB3B-yHMEAAYASAAEgJfnvD_BwE\">FyoniBio GmbH<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/pdw-analytics.de\/\">PDW Analytics GmbH<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Bio-PAT <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluesens.com\/\">BlueSens gas sensor GmbH<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hellma.com\/de\/home\">Hellma GmbH &amp; Co. KG <\/a>members presented their technologies at individual booths on the ground floor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strong presence of Bio-PAT members across the exhibition highlighted the diversity of expertise within the network and the growing relevance of PAT in bioprocess development and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Co-Organizing a Growing Platform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bio-PAT is proud to have co-organized BioProScale 2026 together with&nbsp;BioProScale e.V.,&nbsp;BVT TU Berlin, and&nbsp;VLB Berlin. The continued development of the symposium reflects the strength of collaboration within the community and the shared commitment to advancing bioprocess technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also extend our sincere thanks to BlueSens, Hellma, and Art Fiber Systems for supporting this year\u2019s event as sponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Honouring a Pioneer in Bioprocess Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A particular highlight of this year\u2019s symposium was the presentation of the first BioProScale Lifetime Achievement Award to&nbsp;Matthias Reuss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his laudatio, Prof.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/peter-neubauer-06a6461\/\">Peter Neubauer<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 who holds the chair today \u2014 highlighted the visionary nature of Prof. Reuss\u2019 work and reflected on a series of foundational papers, spanning topics such as the &#8220;modelling of the short-term Crabtree effect in baker\u2019s yeast&#8221;, the &#8220;dynamic behavior of microbial populations in stirred bioreactors using Euler\u2013Lagrange methods&#8221;, and the &#8220;influence of substrate distribution on productivity in computer controlled yeast production&#8221;.<br><br>These pioneering contributions have shaped the field in lasting ways. Without them, it would be difficult to imagine the development of Bio-PAT e.V. into the thriving network it is today.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Looking Ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BioProScale 2026 once again demonstrated the importance of bringing together diverse perspectives\u2014from academia, industry, and technology providers\u2014to address the challenges of modern bioprocessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Bio-PAT, the event reaffirmed the value of a collaborative network that connects expertise across process analytics, modelling, and application. We look forward to building on the discussions, connections, and ideas generated during the symposium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
