Biowaste can be the source of feedstock for the bioeconomy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cordis.europa.eu\/project\/id\/745828\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PERCAL<\/a>\u00a0focused on Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) as a feedstock to develop intermediate chemical products at high yield and low impurity level with huge industrial interest. CAFIPLA is implementing a novel approach to biomass pre-treatment. As opposed to current sugar\/starch-dominated bio-economy schemes, the CAFIPLA project relies on the combination of a Carboxylic Acid Platform (CAP) and Fibre Recovery Platform (FRP), to valorise
