DESCRIPTION:Packaging of Beer and Beverages \n\n\n\nWhat are the current trends? What will be next? Further\, who drives the marked changes and customer demand?These are some of the questions\, that will be discussed on our second international VLB Packaging Conference (VPC)\, taking place from Aug 30 to Sep 1\, 2022\, ONLINE at our VLB Virtual Campus. \n\n\n\nHot Topics: Sustainability and Digitalization \n\n\n\nWe will talk about new products like cardboard multipacks\, returnable crates made from alternative plastic and smart packaging. Moreover\, we talk about digital printing on cans and the use of tethered caps. Experts from the brewing industry will share their experiences with the use of PET kegs. In addition\, we will have a dialog about the use of recycled PET (rPET) for beverage containers. \n\n\n\nChallenge Glass Shortage – What are the Options? \n\n\n\nCurrently the European market is faced with the problem of glass shortage and increasing cost for bottles. As a result\, many beverage and food producers are focusing on new returnable systems and close loop innovations. On our virtual conference new ideas and practical solutions will be discussed.
