The KNVM aims to promote the knowledge of and interest in microbiology in The Netherlands. The society has 10 divisions in various microbiological disciplines. To endorse dissemination of advances in microbiology, scientific meetings are organized by divisions individually as well as shared during the KNVM/NVMM annual Scientific Spring Meeting. The society has approximately 1500 members.
