Visit of PDW Analytics GmbH at ARKEMA
Between 14 and 30 November 2023, colleagues from PDW Analytics (Tobias Simon), University of Potsdam (Justin Aaron Koenig), and ZHAW (Andrey Dashkevich, Achim Ecker) performed the first measurement campaign at the pilot facilities of Arkema, one of the NanoPAT industrial partners, in Lacq, France. The campaign was part of the case study on zeolites (Case Study 4 of the NanoPAT project).
The primary objective of the first campaign was to validate the Photon Density Wave Spectroscopy (PDW) technology and the new process probe developed by ZHAW in a pilot environment. To do that, syntheses of different zeolites were performed in a pilot batch reactor (220 L).
During the campaign, the synthesis process was monitored with PDW Spectroscopy and compared with the conventional analytical techniques such as X-ray diffraction, particle size distribution and scanning electron microscopy.
The analysis of the gathered data is ongoing with the expertise of University of Potsdam and PDWA and the support of ZHAW. PDW Analytics GmbH is member of the network Bio-PAT.
