ACHEMA 2024 with Bio-PAT, KNAUER, Knick & SOPAT

Being at the ACHEMA 2024 (10.-14.06.2024 in Frankfurt am Main) was a full success. Bio-PAT and its members made a lot of promising contacts and git insights in the latest innovations in the field of bioprocess technology, cultivation technologies, process analytical technologies and more.

The following members exhibited at the Bio-PAT booth in Hall 6.0 Booth E1: Abacus Analytical Systems GmbH, ANiMOX GmbH, Biophotonics Diagnostics GmbH, Chair of Bioprocess Engineering, Technische Universität Berlin, EloSystems GbR, and PDW Analytics GmbH showing various Process Analytical Technologies (PAT), solutions for the use of all by-products in bio-based industrial processes, Smart Bioproduction Grids and a new dH2-sensor, Lab of the Future „KIWI-biolab„. We thank the TUBS GmbH and Messearbeitskreis Wissenschaft e.V. for the organization and support.

Further Prof. Peter Neubauer (Chair of Bioprocess Engineering, TU Berlin) gave a talk on 12.06.2024 during the PAT-sessions about „Harvesting PAT data for bioprocess control and optimisation„.
Prof. Peter Götz, (Bioprocess Engineering at Berliner Hochschule für Technik) presented on 10.6.2024 the topic „Biobutanol Production: From Metabolic Modeling to Design and Start-up of a Pilot Plant„.

The following members had their own booth:
KNAUER Wissenschaftliche Geräte GmbH (Hall 12.0 Booth C49, Laboratory and Analytical Techniques: showing (U)HPLC and FPLC instruments for analysis and purification as well as devices for liquid handling, high-pressure dosing and lipid-nanoparticle formulation of active ingredients like mRNA. Anja Roden talked on 11.6.2024 about „Impingement Jets Mixing for Scalable Production of Lipid Nanoparticles„.
Knick Elektronische Messgeräte GmbH & Co. KG (Hall 11.1 Booth A45, Instrumentation, Control and Automation Techniques: showing complete measuring loop solutions for pH/ORP, conductivity and dissolved oxygen; from portable to fully automatic sensor maintenance and calibration, especially for hazardous areas; for laboratory and industrial processes.
SOPAT GmbH (Hall 11.1 Booth F25, Instrumentation, Control and Automation Techniques: showing a photo-optical and image-based inline analysis measurement technology that quantitatively characterizes particulate multi-phase systems, incl. software for real-time analysis of particle size distribution; applicable also as in-situ microscopy in bioprocesses.
