Doctoral Prize for Young Scientists for KIWI-biolab member at the Chair of Bioprocess Engineering at TU Berlin
The Doctoral Prize for Young Scientists 2024 of the Faculty III at TU Berlin goes to Dr.-Ing. Annina Kemmer who perfomed her PhD thesis at the KIWI-biolab (Chair of Bioprocess Engineering at TU Berlin) on the topic “Development of advanced feeding strategies for high throughput mini-bioreactor systems”, which she completed with the top grade „summa cum laude“.
Recommended by the jury for young talent awards, the Faculty Council awarded Dr.-Ing. Annina Kemmer on June 12, 2024, at the faculty summer party.
The cumulative dissertation is based on three refereed articles written by Mrs. Kemmer as first author, which were published in high-ranking specialist publications. The work deals with the transdisciplinary field of laboratory automation and bioprocess engineering with digitalization and systematic development of new methods high-throughput bioprocess development.
The work of Dr. Kemmer stands out particularly in terms of its high level of complexity and level of innovation. The relevance of the results for science and industry is also increased emphasized in the report on their work. It also has an impressive number of papers, which she published internationally. The prize is donated with €1,500.
