KEY TRACKS

Downstream Processing & Continuous Biomanufacturing

Industry experts will share their knowledge and we will present and discuss how to optimize technologies and process setups, manufacturing challenges, and strategies such as digitalization, modelling, automation, scaling up, single-use technology, and securing process continuity. Case studies will also be presented in this track.

  • Continuous Biomanufacturing: COGS, batch definitions and sustainability in continuous biomanufacturing
  • mAbs bioprocessing: pre-treatment of feeds and optimizations of expression levels and purification processes
  • Downstream purification: Removal of empty capsids from full ones for AAVs, tailor-made ligands as well as more difficult targets
  • Go Greener: sustainable bioprocesses, single use vs multiple use materials, as well as digitalization within bioprocessing and manufacturing
  • Modelling, digitalization and automation: Modelling and simulations as a tool to scale-up processes

ATMP Technologies for Cell & Gene Therapies

Attend the cell and gene therapy track to learn about the future of cell and gene therapy bioprocessing. The track includes expert talks on the considerations around manufacturing ATMPs, from closed loop systems for cell therapy to decentralized sites. We also cover the technical aspects of how to optimize AAV manufacturing, tackling increased demand for viral and non-viral vectors, and developing the next generation of vectors.

Don’t miss the talks on workforce, regulatory landscape, scale up and supply chain:

  • Future of ATMP manufacturing: process development, facility design
  • Cell and gene therapy manufacturing – what skills are needed for your workforce and how to acquire them
  • Understanding the regulatory landscape for cell and gene therapies
  • The latest innovations in supply chain technology for cell and gene therapies
  • Developing AAV next generation vectors
