Both parties are currently participating in a course, constructed as a kind of case study.
At TU Berlin, a project planning course is currentling taking place with the aim of developing a complete business plan for a biotechnological business project (e.g. manufacturing and/or selling of a new product (line), planning and designing a production facility, founding a complete new company or a network for biotech stakeholders, etc.)
At HTW, also the production and selling of different products or services in the field of life sciences and biotechnology is in the focus. The students have to develop a strategy and business model for the foundation of fictitious start-ups – from the idea to implementation.

The groups presented their first research results and plans for building up their strategies and business plans in the future in a Business Model Canva. After the presentations, they discussed challenged and prossible solutions in small teams, mixed of both parties. The aim was to learn from the other party about challenges, strategies as well as solutions and get different points of view since the studies of both parties are oriented in different ways with different focuses on either more science or more economics and innovation management.

After some more weeks of research, planning and elaboration of the business plans, the students will present their final results in presentations.

The network Bio-PAT supports networking and exchange in the field of bioprocess engineering and process analytics.
